Old Bridge Surgery

New GP’s

We know it has not always been easy for many to make convenient appointments with their preferred GP, we hope we are now coming to the end of this difficult period with two GP’s joining our team this Autumn. Dr Ian Buchanan joined us at the start of September and will be working three days each week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and Dr Doug Goss has also recently returned to the Practice.

As a result of these changes, some doctors have moved rooms; Dr Roy, Dr Kodde, Dr Mogford, Dr Stephenson and Dr Buchannan are now using upstairs consulting rooms so please use the upstairs waiting room after checking in to see them, if you have any problems with getting up the stairs then please let one of our reception team know.

As our team returns at last to full strength, we have started to release more appointments to allow patients to book ahead. To begin with, we expect capacity will be quickly booked up but once through a transitional phase we are hopeful that we should be able to offer patients the option to book ahead, with some appointments available as much as six weeks in advance. As well as offering greater convenience to all our patients, it is expected that this will improve our ability to offer patients the opportunity to see their regular doctor and that we can improve continuity of care.

Appointments will be available to book by all the usual methods – in person, by phone and on-line via our website (www.oldbridgesurgery.co.uk) – but remember you will need to register in advance to use our online services which allow you to order repeat prescriptions as well as book appointments. Please follow the link for “The Waiting Room” on our website for details.

Others sources of health advice remain available of course – you can speak to a local pharmacist, call NHS 111 or access a reputable website such as www.nhs.uk or https://patient.info.
