After lots of community interest, following the government announcement that more patients than ever will qualify for a free flu jab this year, we’re delighted to invite you to our special drive-thru flu clinic being held at Looe Community Academy on Saturday December 5th 2020.
Socially distanced, by attending in your car, this special drive-thru clinic is for patients aged 50-64 years who wouldn’t typically qualify for a free flu jab. With limited vaccine availability and the desire to complete our flu programme as soon as possible, so that we can focus on the COVID vaccination programme (under development), please can you call 01503 266 960 to book your appointment as soon as possible. If you prefer to walk to the School, there is limited availability for walk-in appointments too.
Please be assured that over 4,000 local residents have already had their flu vaccination, so you’ll be in good company and helping to protect yourself and the community by having yours too. Finally, please do not be tempted to simply wait for the COVID vaccine as it could be a number of months before the COVID vaccination programme is complete, with more details to be shared as soon as the logistical arrangements and patient recall priorities have been agreed.
